Learning about dahlias and how to grow them will set you up for success. You might be really great at growing vegetables or other flowers but dahlias have their own considerations that you will want to know about to ensure you have a successful grow season. There are so many great resources that you can find on the internet or in books. I learned how to grow dahlias by taking the online course “Mastering Growing Dahlias” by Micro Flower Farm, a 3 hour online seminar on the essentials. The other resource which I found to be invaluable and that I reference all of the time is the book “DAHLIAS: Seed to Bloom” by Kristine Albrecht. I’m a visual learner and have found that Kristine Albrecht’s YouTube videos are so helpful to supplement the information in her book. There are also a ton of educational videos from dahlia farms on Instagram (which are free!) Happy Growing!
